401(k) 401(k) matching Flexible schedule Job description: Overview Talin Home Healthcare is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to join our dynamic team. The COTA will work under the supervision of a licensed Occupational Therapist to provide high-quality care to patients across various settings, including pediatrics, outpatient services, skilled nursing facilities, and acute care environments. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of anatomy and physiology, as well as experience in developing and implementing care plans that enhance patients' functional abilities and improve their quality of life. Duties Assist in the implementation of individualized treatment plans as directed by the Occupational Therapist. Provide therapeutic interventions to patients focusing on Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) to promote independence. Conduct assessments and document patient progress in accordance with established protocols. Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care. Educate patients and their families about treatment goals and strategies for home exercises. Maintain accurate records of patient treatments, progress notes, and any changes in condition. Adhere to safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized work environment. Qualifications Certification as an Occupational Therapy Assistant from an accredited program. Knowledge of medical terminology related to occupational therapy practices. Experience or familiarity with home healthcare, outpatient therapy, skilled nursing facilities, or acute care settings is preferred. Strong understanding of anatomy and physiology relevant to therapeutic practices. Ability to implement effective care plans tailored to individual patient needs. Excellent communication skills for interacting with patients, families, and interdisciplinary teams. Compassionate demeanor with a commitment to providing quality patient-centered care.
