Job Description

Sheltering Arms and VCU Health have come together to create Sheltering Arms Institute, a state-of-the-science destination inpatient rehabilitation hospital and network of outpatient centers. The Institute blends advanced technology, research, and evidence-based clinical care to create an innovative, transdisciplinary model of rehabilitative care. Sheltering Arms Institute is seeking a full-time Rehab Tech to join our outpatient team. This position will provide coverage at our Midtown Center. Under the direct supervision of a therapist, the Rehab Tech provides patient care and assistance including, but not limited to, patient transport, ADLs, transfers, strengthening, mobility, assist with leisure participation, and ambulation tasks. Takes responsibility to maintain a clean and safe working environment. Provides assistance to therapists through direct care and delegated tasks. This position requires a great deal of flexibility as well as reliability. Q ualifications and Skills Experience in outpatient rehabilitation is preferred Education/Certifications High School diploma/GED required. High School or college degree with interest in further education related to healthcare. Healthcare professionals CPR certification preferred.
