Job Description

Job Summary:
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to join our rehab team. The ideal candidate will have prior experience in a Skilled Nursing Facility (SNF) setting and a passion for helping residents regain independence and improve their quality of life. Under the supervision of a licensed Occupational Therapist, the COTA will implement therapeutic programs tailored to the individual needs of our residents.
Responsibilities:
Provide occupational therapy treatments to patients as directed by the Occupational Therapist. Assist in evaluating and documenting patient progress and response to treatment. Implement individualized treatment plans based on OT goals and resident needs. Educate and train residents, families, and caregivers on adaptive techniques and equipment use. Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to support comprehensive care planning. Maintain accurate and timely documentation in accordance with facility and regulatory standards. Adhere to facility, state, and federal guidelines for patient care and therapy services.
Qualifications:
Required:
Associate's degree from an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant program.
Required:
Current COTA license in VA.
Preferred:
1+ year of experience in a Skilled Nursing Facility (SNF) setting. Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team. Familiarity with electronic medical records (EMR) systems preferred.
