Job Description

Position Overview:
We are seeking a compassionate, dependable Pediatric Therapy Assistant to support licensed therapists in delivering high-quality care to children. The ideal candidate will have at least one year of experience working in pediatric therapy settings and demonstrate strong emotional regulation skills, as this role requires patience, consistency, and the ability to remain calm and supportive in a variety of situations.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist therapists in implementing individualized treatment plans for pediatric clients Support children in achieving developmental, behavioral, and therapeutic goals Maintain a safe, engaging, and structured environment during therapy sessions Accurately document session activities, progress, and observations Communicate effectively with therapists, caregivers, and team members Follow all clinic policies, procedures, and ethical guidelines
Required Qualifications:
Minimum of one (1) year experience in pediatric therapy or a related field Strong understanding of child development and behavior management strategies Ability to follow directions and work under supervision Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Essential Skills & Attributes:
Demonstrated ability to emotionally regulate in high-stress or unpredictable situations Patience, empathy, and a child-centered approach to care Ability to remain calm, professional, and supportive when working with children exhibiting challenging behaviors Strong organizational and time-management skills Team-oriented mindset with a willingness to learn and grow
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience in occupational therapy, speech therapy, behavioral therapy, or related disciplines CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain)
Work Environment:
This role involves direct interaction with children of varying needs and abilities. Candidates must be physically able to engage in play-based activities, assist with movement, and maintain active supervision.
Pay:
$24.00 - $30.00 per hour
