Position Overview:
- We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to join our outpatient neuro rehab team.
Responsibilities:
- Provide direct occupational therapy services to patients under the supervision of licensed occupational therapists.
- Assist in the development and implementation of individualized treatment plans tailored to each patient's needs and goals.
- Conduct therapy sessions in one-on-one settings, focusing on improving functional abilities, independence, and quality of life.
- Collaborate with other members of the healthcare team to ensure comprehensive and coordinated care for patients.
- Monitor and document patient progress, adjust treatment plans as needed, and communicate effectively with therapists, patients, and their families.
Qualifications:
- Graduate of an accredited occupational therapy assistant program.
- Current certification as a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) and licensure in the state of AL.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience working as a COTA, preferably in a neuro rehab or related setting.
- Strong knowledge of neurological conditions and rehabilitation techniques.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build rapport with patients, families, and colleagues.
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
- Commitment to providing patient-centered care and promoting independence and well-being.
