  • Position Overview:
  • We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to join our outpatient neuro rehab team.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in neurological rehabilitation and a passion for helping individuals achieve their goals. As a key member of our team, you will work closely with occupational therapists and other healthcare professionals to deliver high-quality, evidence-based therapy services to our patients.
  • Responsibilities:
  • Provide direct occupational therapy services to patients under the supervision of licensed occupational therapists.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of individualized treatment plans tailored to each patient's needs and goals.
  • Conduct therapy sessions in one-on-one settings, focusing on improving functional abilities, independence, and quality of life.
  • Collaborate with other members of the healthcare team to ensure comprehensive and coordinated care for patients.
  • Monitor and document patient progress, adjust treatment plans as needed, and communicate effectively with therapists, patients, and their families.
  • Qualifications:
  • Graduate of an accredited occupational therapy assistant program.
  • Current certification as a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) and licensure in the state of AL.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience working as a COTA, preferably in a neuro rehab or related setting.
  • Strong knowledge of neurological conditions and rehabilitation techniques.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build rapport with patients, families, and colleagues.
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
  • Commitment to providing patient-centered care and promoting independence and well-being.
