Job Description

Category Schools - COTA Job Type Contract A full-time Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) position is available for the 2026-2027 school year, providing essential support within a school setting. This contract role is based in Cabot, Arkansas, serving students who require occupational therapy services to enhance their educational experience.
Key Responsibilities:
Deliver direct occupational therapy services to students under the supervision of a licensed Occupational Therapist Implement individualized treatment plans aimed at improving students' functional abilities and classroom participation Collaborate with educators, therapists, and families to support student goals and integrate therapy into the school environment Maintain accurate documentation and progress reports in compliance with school policies and regulations Participate in IEP meetings and contribute professional insights to support student success
Qualifications and Experience:
Current certification as a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) Experience working in school-based settings preferred; healthcare background relevant to pediatric populations is beneficial Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in multidisciplinary teams Ability to adapt therapy approaches to diverse student needs and school environments Commitment to professional development and adherence to ethical standards in occupational therapy
