Job Description

We are looking for a Certified and Arkansas Licensed Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA/L) to work in our Early Intervention Day Treatment Center. This position is Monday through Friday position. Our interdisciplinary team consists of Occupational, Physical and Developmental Therapists, ABA Therapists as well as Speech Language Pathologists and Nurses. Our team works closely with each other and the classroom staff in order to maximize the progress for each individual child. Responsibilities Provide quality, personalized and evidence-based care and proven interventions, following the OTR/L plan of care Motivate children through play during treatment in order to help them function optimally Promote clients' life skills by improving strength, flexibility, balance, and coordination Consult and practice with other health professionals and families Document patient care services This is a safety sensitive position. Passed Drug Testing and Background checks are required. Skills Proven work experience as a COTA/L preferred, but new graduates are welcome to apply as mentoring is available. Intensive education and clinical expertise Ability to manage patients with different types of behaviors/personalities Current knowledge of treatment practices Drive to continually learn and grow Professional behavior Excellent interpersonal communication skills Valid license as COTA/L in the State of Arkansas Graduate of an AOTA accredited program
