  • K-8 (exact campus TBD)
  • 4 days on campus, 1 day at the preschool on said campus
  • Would work in self-contained classroom
  • Purpose:
    Toprovide treatment therapy, as defined by the occupational therapist, to eligible students; to provide occupational training and information to teachers and staff; and to assist in the assessment of students. Responsibilities
  • Conduct student assessments to determine individual needs and develop personalized treatment plans
  • Provide occupational therapy interventions to help students improve their ability to perform daily activities
  • Collaborate with educational support teams to ensure comprehensive care for students
  • Educate students and their families on therapeutic techniques and exercises
  • Document student progress and maintain accurate records
  • Participate in necessary IEP meetings and update care plans Experience
  • Previous experience in educational setting is preferred
  • Experience working with individuals with disabilities and diverse populations
  • Knowledge of activities of daily living (ADLs) and adaptive equipment
  • Familiarity with early intervention practices for pediatrics is a plus
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills Qualifications
  • Experience in school settings as a COTA
  • Proficiency in early intervention techniques
  • Strong ability to work with individuals with disabilities
  • Skilled in developing and implementing care plans
  • Experience in pediatric occupational therapy
  • Excellent communication skills for collaborating with students, teachers, and parents
