Job Description

Category Schools - COTA Job Type Contract Step into a dynamic part-time opportunity as a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) supporting students from PreK through 12th grade. Make a meaningful impact by working directly with a small, dedicated caseload of 13-14 students, helping them achieve greater independence and success in their school environment. This contract role is perfect for professionals seeking a consistent, rewarding schedule—just one day per week for 7.5 hours—throughout the 2026-2027 school year. Start on August 10, 2026, and finish strong by May 13, 2027, while playing a vital part in each student's growth and development.
Desired Qualifications & Experience:
Current, active COTA licensure in the state Previous experience within school settings or with pediatric populations preferred Understanding of educational models and IEP documentation Effective communication and collaboration skills Comfortable working with a diverse student population spanning PreK through high school
Key Responsibilities:
Deliver occupational therapy interventions and activities as directed by the supervising Occupational Therapist Help students build functional and adaptive skills necessary for classroom and daily life participation Document progress, maintain accurate records, and support IEP goals Foster positive relationships with students, teachers, and families Collaborate with the educational team to ensure integrated support for each child This role offers an exceptional balance for those passionate about making a difference in children's lives while maintaining a flexible, manageable schedule.
