Certified Occupational Therapist Assistant Apple Valley Care Center - 2.6 Apple Valley, CA Job Details Full-time 3 hours ago Qualifications CPR Certification Occupational Therapy Assistant License BLS Certification Full Job Description We are seeking a Certified Occupational Therapist Assistant to join our team at a skilled nursing facility. In this position, you will assess and treat residents who face physical, cognitive, and psychosocial challenges, helping them achieve their highest level of independence and improve their quality of life.
REQUIREMENTS
CPR Certification is essential. A valid Certified Occupational Therapist Assistant license is required. Ideally, 1-2 years of experience in long-term care is preferred. Good physical and mental health is crucial. Must be able to meet the physical demands of the role, including lifting up to 50 pounds without assistance. Ability to follow both oral and written instructions is necessary. Should possess the training, knowledge, and experience for general duties under supervision.
REPORTING
The Certified Occupational Therapist Assistant will report to the supervising Occupational Therapist and/or Rehabilitation Director.
JOB DUTIES
Understand physical medicine, therapy modalities, anatomy, and physiology. Be familiar with operating, maintaining, and repairing physical therapy equipment. Administer treatment and rehabilitation services to patients with injuries or disabilities. Follow treatment plans as directed by the Occupational Therapist. Monitor and document patient treatment and progress. Assist in creating educational plans tailored to learning needs. Ensure that documentation aligns with current standards and policies. Comply with the facility's policies and procedures.
