Job Description

Category Schools - COTA Job Type Contract Step into an exciting opportunity as a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant supporting K-8 students onsite throughout the full school year. This contract position serves a close-knit caseload of 55 students, offering meaningful engagement and the chance to make a daily impact across multiple age groups. You'll collaborate with educational staff to help students achieve their highest level of independence and participation within the school environment.
Key Qualifications and Experience:
Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) credential required Experience providing services in a school-based setting preferred Strong communication skills to liaise effectively with teachers, students, and families Ability to adapt and develop creative interventions for diverse student needs Demonstrated commitment to fostering student growth in both individual and group settings
Primary Responsibilities:
Deliver direct occupational therapy services under the supervision of an occupational therapist, focusing on written student goals Support students with daily living skills, fine and gross motor coordination, sensory integration, and classroom participation Maintain clear and detailed documentation of all interventions and student progress in compliance with school and program requirements Collaborate with teachers and staff to implement strategies that enhance learning and engagement within general and special education settings Foster a supportive and inclusive environment that encourages growth for all students from kindergarten through eighth grade This onsite, full-time position offers an opportunity to work with a manageable, focused caseload, allowing for meaningful relationships with students and strong interdisciplinary teamwork.
