Requirements:
Valid and active Occupational Therapy Assistant State license
Responsibilities:
Assist the Occupational Therapist in evaluating patients to identify their physical and functional limitations. Collaborate with the Occupational Therapist to develop individualized treatment plans based on patient. Carry out interventions and activities to enhance patients' motor skills, mobility, and daily independence. Educate patients on the proper use of assistive devices and adaptive equipment to enhance their functional abilities. Keep precise and up-to-date patient records, noting progress, treatments, and condition changes. Offer patients and families guidance and training for at-home exercises to aid their ongoing recovery. Keep in touch with the Occupational Therapist and the healthcare team for coordinated patient care. Adhere to safety and infection control protocols, ensuring a safe therapy environment for patients. Offer emotional support and encouragement to patients as they work towards achieving their therapeutic goals. Other duties assigned by Management
