Job Description

Occupational Therapy Assistant (OTA) - Early Intervention & Pediatric Services Full-Time | Home & Community-Based | $38.00-$45.00 per hour | Santa Clarita, CA Support meaningful, family-centered occupational therapy services that help children build independence in daily living skills, fine motor development, sensory processing, and social participation while working under the supervision of a licensed Occupational Therapist in accordance with California state guidelines. Collaborate with caregivers and interdisciplinary teams to create functional, real-life outcomes in natural environments. Our Approach At Community Autism Services, we believe occupational therapy is most effective when delivered in a child's natural environment with active caregiver involvement. As an OTA, you will implement individualized, evidence-based treatment plans developed by a supervising, California-licensed Occupational Therapist. Therapy focuses on functional outcomes within daily routines-helping children improve fine motor skills, sensory regulation, self-care (ADLs), play skills, and overall independence while empowering caregivers to carry over strategies outside of sessions. All services are delivered in accordance with California supervision and scope of practice regulations. Hourly range:
$38.00-$45.00 per hour (based on experience, location, and market) Company recognition awards, including monetary awards, gifts, and professional development support Continuing education and state-required training opportunities Medical, dental, and vision insurance options 401(k) options and additional voluntary benefits No non-compete clauses - we believe in ethical, clinician-first employment Paid drive time and mileage - between job sites Your Clinical Impact Provide direct occupational therapy services under the supervision of a California-licensed Occupational Therapist Implement treatment plans in alignment with supervising OT direction and state regulations Support interventions targeting fine motor skills, sensory processing, self-care (ADLs), and play skills Collect and record accurate session data to support treatment decisions Assist with documentation in compliance with California and payer requirements Reinforce caregiver training and home programs as directed by supervising OT Interdisciplinary Collaboration Work under the supervision of a licensed Occupational Therapist while partnering with Speech Therapists, Physical Therapists, Behavior Analysts, and other providers Support coordinated, family-centered treatment plans Communicate consistently with caregivers and clinical teams Work-Life Balance You Can Count On This role is designed for flexibility and sustainability. Full-time, home and community-based schedule Travel between in-home sessions and/or center-based services Supervision structure that meets California OTA requirements Caseload guidance to ensure quality service delivery Leadership & Support Direct supervision from a California-licensed Occupational Therapist (in accordance with state guidelines) Ongoing training and competency development Regular team meetings and case collaboration Clear expectations and structured clinical support How Success Is Measured Success in this role is defined by: Consistent, high-quality implementation of OT-directed therapy plans Accurate and timely data collection and documentation Compliance with California OTA supervision and practice standards Strong caregiver engagement and carryover support Effective collaboration with supervising OTs and team members Positive functional and developmental progress in children

Effectively implements OT-directed interventions Qualifications Associate's degree from an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant program Active California OTA license required Completion of OTA-required fieldwork per California regulations Minimum of 6 months' pediatric experience preferred Strong communication, organization, and teamwork skills Commitment to ethical, family-centered care Not Ready to Make the Jump-but Know Someone Who Is? We offer $500 external referral bonuses for OT referrals and $250 for OTA referrals. If your referral is hired and employed with us for 90 days, you get paid.
