In this vital role, you will collaborate closely with licensed occupational therapists to deliver personalized therapy services that enhance patients' independence and quality of life. Your expertise will support a diverse patient population across inpatient, outpatient, home health, skilled nursing facilities, and clinic settings. This position offers an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful difference in patients' recovery journeys while working in a fast-paced, supportive environment committed to excellence and innovation. Responsibilities Assist licensed occupational therapists in developing and implementing individualized care plans tailored to each patient's needs. Support patients with activities of daily living (ADLs), including grooming, dressing, feeding, and mobility exercises. Provide hands-on therapy interventions for patients across various settings such as inpatient units, outpatient clinics, home health visits, and skilled nursing facilities. Monitor patient progress and document responses to therapy interventions accurately in medical records. Educate patients and their families on therapeutic exercises and strategies to promote continued progress outside of clinical sessions. Maintain a safe environment by adhering to infection control protocols and safety standards during therapy sessions. Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive patient care, including understanding medical imaging reports, physiology concepts, anatomy knowledge, and medical terminology relevant to each case. Qualifications Valid certification as a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) from an accredited program. Prior experience working in skilled nursing facilities, inpatient hospital units, outpatient clinics, or home health settings is highly preferred. Strong knowledge of occupational health principles, physiology, anatomy, and medical terminology. Experience assisting with ADLs and supporting patients in geriatrics and pediatrics populations. Ability to work effectively in diverse environments such as acute care, inpatient units, outpatient clinics, or skilled nursing facilities. Excellent patient care skills with a compassionate approach and strong communication abilities. Familiarity with care plan development and documentation procedures aligned with healthcare regulations.
