Shift:
Monday thru Friday with occasional weekend days Implements treatment plans established by the Occupational Therapist; and through consideration of practice standards, recommended techniques, insurance guidelines, and patient needs. Uses appropriate therapy procedures, documents data, and follows individualized care plans set by the occupational therapist. Provides patient and family education, including home exercise programs for treatment carryover into the discharge setting. Supports consumer marketing and public awareness through participation in community events, educational lectures, and other extensions of clinical expertise to the community. Conducts age-appropriate assessments and interventions, completing annual age-specific competencies relevant to the scope of care.Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Basic computer skills and proficiency with Microsoft Office, Outlook, Windows, and electronic medical records (EMR) systems.
- Ability to read, write, and speak conversational English effectively.
- Ability to communicate effectively in written, verbal, and electronic forms.
- Entry level knowledge and application of principles of medical occupational therapy for therapeutic diagnostics and treatment.
