The ideal candidate will provide comprehensive therapy services to diverse patient populations across outpatient, skilled nursing facilities settings. This role involves developing and implementing individualized care plans to improve patients' functional abilities, independence, and quality of life. The Occupational Therapist will utilize their expertise in physiology, anatomy, and medical terminology to deliver effective interventions tailored to each patient's needs. This position offers an opportunity to make a meaningful difference in patients' recovery and well-being through skilled patient care. Responsibilities Assess patients' physical, cognitive, and emotional needs to develop personalized treatment plans. Assist patients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) such as dressing, grooming, and mobility. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to coordinate care and ensure optimal patient outcomes. Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans accordingly to meet recovery goals. Educate patients and their families on exercises, adaptive techniques, and safety measures for ongoing care at home or in community settings. Maintain detailed documentation of patient assessments, treatment plans, progress notes, and discharge summaries in compliance with healthcare regulations. Stay current with advancements in occupational therapy practices related to pediatrics, acute care, and occupational health. Skills Strong knowledge of physiology and anatomy relevant to occupational therapy practices. Proficiency in medical terminology and understanding of medical imaging as it relates to patient assessment. Experience assisting with ADLs across diverse populations including geriatrics and pediatrics. Familiarity with care planning processes for acute care, outpatient clinics, skilled nursing facilities. Excellent patient care skills with a compassionate approach to therapy delivery. Ability to work effectively in outpatient settings with a multidisciplinary team. Skilled in developing individualized care plans that address specific patient needs.
Pay:
$35.00 - $40.00 per hour
