  • Part-time, Full-time, PRN, Contract, Per diem Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to join our healthcare team.
The COTA will work under the supervision of a licensed Occupational Therapist to provide therapeutic services to patients in various settings, including inpatient, outpatient, and home health environments. This role is essential in helping patients achieve their rehabilitation goals and improve their quality of life through tailored care plans and therapeutic interventions. Responsibilities Assist in implementing individualized treatment plans as directed by the Occupational Therapist. Document progress towards therapy goals. Educate patients and their families on therapeutic techniques and home exercises. Maintain accurate records of patient care, including progress notes and treatment outcomes. Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care. Utilize appropriate medical terminology when communicating with team members. Support patients in activities of daily living (ADLs) to enhance their independence. Participate in ongoing professional development and training opportunities. Skills Proficient knowledge of medical terminology relevant to occupational therapy. Ability to develop and implement effective care plans tailored to individual patient needs. Strong understanding of anatomy and physiology as it relates to therapy practices. Experience or knowledge in pediatrics is highly desirable. Excellent communication skills for interacting with patients, families, and healthcare teams. Strong organizational skills to manage multiple patient cases effectively. Compassionate approach towards patient care with a focus on empathy and support. 00 per hour (Based on experience and level of independence) Expected hours: You tell me what you can commit to prior to signing the contract. We are hiring for Monday-Thursday 9am-7pm or Monday-Thursday 2pm-7pm.
