Job Description

Job Summary Join our dynamic healthcare team as a Pediatric Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA), where you will play a vital role in supporting children's developmental progress and enhancing their quality of life. In this energetic and rewarding position, you will work closely with licensed occupational therapists to implement personalized care plans, assist children in developing essential life skills, and promote independence. You would be based out of our Largo clinic. Responsibilities Assist licensed occupational therapists in delivering therapy sessions tailored to each child's needs, focusing on improving motor skills, sensory processing, and daily living activities. Support children with activities that foster development in areas such as self-care, play, and social interaction. Help implement individualized care plans by preparing therapy materials and setting up therapeutic environments. Monitor and document patient progress accurately, noting responses to therapy interventions for ongoing evaluation. Maintain a safe, engaging environment that encourages active participation and fosters positive therapeutic experiences. Qualifications Certification as a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) from an accredited program. Knowledge of pediatric physiology, anatomy, and medical terminology relevant to therapy practices. Strong patient care skills with the ability to engage children effectively across diverse age groups and developmental stages. Prior experience in skilled nursing facilities or outpatient clinics involving pediatrics is advantageous. Ability to collaborate seamlessly with multidisciplinary teams including therapists, nurses, and caregivers to optimize patient outcomes. $32.00 - $38.00 per hour
