The ideal candidate for this position has a Bachelors degree in Occupational Therapy and a minimum of two years of experience. The successful candidate will be responsible for working closely with patients who suffer from physical and neurologic injuries, and will also be required to educate parents and caregivers on the effects of injuries to children and ways they can help rehabilitate their children.
Responsibilities:
Determine and set goals for patient therapy. Model the patient's progress with therapy and share this information with the patient's doctor. Conduct tests on patients to ensure their progress is as expected. Review medical records of patients in order to maximize their progress in therapy. Interact with patients, attend doctors' rounds, and hold discussions with patients and their families. Supervise therapists working under you.
