Full Job Description Job Summary:
We are a busy orthopedic therapy center seeking a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant to join our team. This will be a part-time permanent position, between 20
  • 30 hours per week, with benefits that can convert into a full-time job with benefits.
Pay is based on experience. Your role will involve assisting with therapeutic exercises, implementing treatment plans, and documenting patient progress.
Duties:
  • Assist in the implementation of treatment plans developed by Occupational Therapists
  • Conduct therapeutic exercises and activities with patients
  • Provide guidance and support to patients during therapy sessions
  • Monitor and document patient progress and report any changes or concerns to the supervising Occupational Therapist
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care for patients
  • Educate patients and their families on therapeutic techniques and exercises for at-home practice
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records
Experience:
  • Previous experience as a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant is preferred
  • Knowledge of medical imaging, occupational health, anatomy, medical terminology, pediatrics, acute care, and physiology
  • Strong communication skills to effectively interact with patients, families, and healthcare professionals
  • Ability to work well as part of a multidisciplinary team
  • Excellent organizational skills to manage multiple tasks and prioritize workload
