Job Description

Category Schools - COTA Job Type Contract Bring your passion for occupational therapy to a rewarding contract assignment supporting students near Okeechobee, FL! We are seeking a skilled Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) with school experience to provide essential services to a diverse student population. You will have the opportunity to help students succeed academically and socially, all while working within a single, supportive school environment.
Qualifications & Experience:
Active COTA licensure required Previous experience working in school settings is a must Strong organizational and communication skills Ability to collaborate effectively with OTs, teachers, and educational staff Flexibility and adaptability to meet the changing needs of students
Key Responsibilities:
Serve an average caseload of approximately 40 students, providing direct and indirect occupational therapy interventions Implement individualized education program (IEP) goals as directed by the supervising Occupational Therapist Maintain accurate records of student progress, attendance, and therapy activities Develop materials and adapt classroom activities to support student participation and growth Work closely with teachers, staff, and families to ensure coordinated care and student success Participate in IEP meetings and team planning as needed
