  • Independant Contractor (1099) to join our dynamic healthcare team.
In this vital role, you will work closely with licensed occupational therapists to deliver high-quality, patient-centered care across a variety of settings, including inpatient hospitals, outpatient clinics, skilled nursing facilities, and home health environments. Your expertise will help patients of all ages regain independence and improve their quality of life through tailored therapeutic interventions. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful impact while expanding your clinical skills in diverse healthcare settings. Responsibilities Assist licensed occupational therapists in developing and implementing individualized care plans for patients across different care environments. Support patients with activities of daily living (ADLs), such as grooming, dressing, feeding, and mobility exercises, to promote independence. Provide direct patient care by facilitating therapeutic activities designed to improve motor skills, coordination, and functional abilities. Help monitor patient progress and document responses to treatment interventions accurately and thoroughly. Educate patients and their families on therapeutic exercises and strategies to support ongoing recovery at home or in outpatient settings. Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams—including physicians, nurses, and social workers—to ensure comprehensive patient care. Maintain a safe and clean environment while adhering to all healthcare regulations, medical terminology standards, and facility policies. Experience Prior experience working as an Occupational Therapy Assistant in inpatient hospital settings, skilled nursing facilities, outpatient clinics, or home health environments is preferred. Demonstrated knowledge of physiology, anatomy, medical terminology, and occupational health principles relevant to patient care. Experience assisting with ADLs across diverse populations including geriatrics and pediatrics. Familiarity with acute care procedures, medical imaging processes related to therapy assessments, and outpatient clinic workflows is advantageous. Proven ability to work effectively within multidisciplinary teams while maintaining a compassionate approach to patient care. Skilled nursing facility experience or clinic experience that highlights your adaptability in various healthcare settings will be highly valued.
