Job Description

JOB SUMMARY
As a Home Health Occupational Therapist Assistant, you will play a vital role in empowering patients to achieve their highest level of function and independence—all within the comfort and familiarity of their own homes. Using your clinical skills and compassionate care, you'll help individuals regain mobility, restore confidence, and improve their overall quality of life. Working under the supervision of a licensed Occupational Therapist, you will assist in delivering both direct and indirect occupational therapy interventions in accordance with the patient's individualized treatment plan and state practice guidelines. Your contributions will support recovery, reduce the risk of hospital readmissions, and foster long-term wellness. As a valued member of our interdisciplinary home health team, you will report directly to the Home Health Director. Regulatory Requirements:
v Current state Occupational Therapy Assistant licensure, graduate of an approved school for Occupational Therapy Assistant training. v Previous experience in the provision of occupational therapy in an acute or long term care setting preferred. v Current BCLS certification.
Language Skills:
v Ability to read and communicate effectively in English. v Strong written and verbal skills.
Skills:
v Basic computer knowledge. v Knowledge of physical medicine, occupational therapy modalities, anatomy and physiology. v Knowledge of occupational therapy equipment operation, maintenance and repairs of same.
