Occupational Therapy Assistant (OTA)

Include:
Conduct comprehensive in-home occupational therapy evaluations Develop and implement individualized treatment plans focused on improving activities of daily living (ADLs) and instrumental activities of daily living (IADLs) Provide therapeutic interventions to improve upper extremity strength, coordination, cognitive skills, and functional independence Train patients in adaptive techniques to enhance safety and independence with bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and meal preparation Recommend and educate on adaptive equipment and home modifications to improve safety and accessibility Educate patients and caregivers on home programs, energy conservation techniques, fall prevention strategies, and equipment use Collaborate with nurses, physical therapists, speech therapists, social workers, and case managers to coordinate care Document all patient visits, progress notes, and care plans in compliance with agency and regulatory standards Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans as needed Communicate changes in condition or concerns to the interdisciplinary care team Promote independence and ongoing improvement through compassionate, patient-centered care Our Values at Iowa Home Care Professional- We set high standards for quality and professionalism in everything we do.
