We are searching for an additional OT or COTA to add to our team. We offer a warm and supportive environment, with opportunities to feed your passion! Responsibilities Address client's aspects of performance to support engagement in occupations that affect health, well-being and life quality Select, adapt, and implement appropriate treatment models and interventions (within scope of practice) Apply interventions to maximize safety and performance in activities of daily living (ADL) and instrumental activities of daily living (IADL) Teach clients new ways of approaching tasks and educate them on how to break down activities into achievable components Converse with parents to assess client's home environment and advise on alterations consistent with their needs and capabilities Recommend adaptive equipment and offer training in its use Guide and educate family members and caregivers Observe, note, and report on progress of long and short term treatment goals Collect data and maintain accurate, timely documentation Follow up regularly to support ongoing progress and continuity of care Skills Active OTR/L or COTA license in the state of Idaho Proven working experience as occupational therapist Excellent knowledge of principles and practices of occupational therapy Hands-on experience with computer programs and creative media Solid understanding of OT principles, practices, and evaluation tools Collaborate with professionals Ability to adapt to a variety of client personalities and needs Current knowledge of treatment practices per discipline and drive to continually learn and grow in the profession Professional behavior Excellent interpersonal communication skills Why Join Star Speech & Occupational Therapy?
