Work collaboratively with educators, families, and fellow healthcare professionals to deliver essential occupational therapy services to children who need your guidance most.
Qualifications and Experience:
Associate's degree from an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant program (COTA) Active certification as a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant Prior experience within a school environment is highly desirable Demonstrated understanding of pediatric occupational therapy and individualized education programs (IEPs) Compassion, patience, and a collaborative spirit for working with children and multidisciplinary teams Excellent communication skills and attention to detail in documentation
Key Responsibilities:
Provide direct and consultative occupational therapy services to students as outlined in IEPs under the supervision of a licensed Occupational Therapist Assist with screening, assessment, and documentation of students' progress and therapeutic needs Collaborate with teachers, families, and staff to ensure consistent and effective therapy strategies across environments Support the development of fine motor, sensory processing, and adaptive skills that promote academic and daily living success Maintain compliance with district, state, and federal documentation and reporting requirements
