Job Description

Category Schools - COTA Job Type Contract Empower students to thrive by making a meaningful difference as a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) within a supportive school environment near Valparaiso, IN. This contract opportunity allows you to partner with educators and other professionals while helping children achieve their fullest potential in the classroom and beyond. Ideal candidates bring a passion for working with children and a collaborative spirit. You'll be instrumental in implementing therapy plans and contributing to a positive, nurturing learning atmosphere.
Qualifications & Experience:
Associate degree from an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant program Active COTA licensure in the state Prior experience in a school or pediatric setting highly preferred Strong interpersonal communication skills Ability to follow therapy plans as directed by the supervising Occupational Therapist Team-oriented mindset with flexibility and adaptability
Key Responsibilities:
Provide direct occupational therapy services to students as outlined in their individualized education programs (IEPs) Support student participation in classroom activities by adapting materials and strategies Collaborate with teachers, parents, and the supervising Occupational Therapist to monitor and document student progress Assist with evaluations and implementation of intervention plans Maintain accurate, timely records and prepare necessary documentation Foster an engaging, inclusive environment that supports every learner's growth Step into a role where you can cultivate lasting connections, broaden your professional skills, and impact students' lives.
