Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) -
Acute Care Hospital Location:
Lafayette, Indiana Position Overview We are seeking a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) for a 13-week travel assignment within an acute care hospital setting in Lafayette, IN. This opportunity offers the chance to work alongside a collaborative inpatient rehabilitation team treating a diverse patient population across multiple levels of care. The ideal candidate will have acute care experience, strong clinical skills, and the ability to work effectively with patients recovering from complex medical and surgical conditions. Schedule Day Shift - 5x8
Hours Hours:
8:00 AM - 4:30 PM Monday through Friday One weekend day per month required Responsibilities Assist Occupational Therapists in implementing individualized treatment plans Provide therapeutic exercises, activities, and ADL training to improve patient function and independence Treat patients across various levels of acuity including ICU and progressive care units Support rehabilitation goals for patients with cardiac conditions, stroke, TBI, orthopedic injuries, respiratory illnesses, neurological disorders, and other complex diagnoses Monitor patient progress and document treatments accurately Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams regarding patient care and discharge planning Maintain compliance with hospital policies, safety standards, and rehabilitation protocols Requirements Minimum 1 year of recent COTA experience in an acute care hospital setting required Active Indiana COTA license required NBCOT certification required BLS certification required Cerner charting experience preferred Manual Therapy and/or Lymphedema certifications preferred For more details reach at sthakur@navitashealth.com or Call / Text at 732 791 4807 - EXT 4807 .
