Job Description

Category Schools - COTA Job Type Contract Embark on a rewarding contract opportunity supporting students from PreK through 12th grade as a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) in a dynamic school setting. Serving as a valued floater, you will have the chance to make a measurable impact across multiple campuses, collaborating with premier educational teams. This position runs from early September through late June of the following year, offering approximately 29 hours per week, with flexibility to increase to 30 if needed. Sites include engaging environments across elementary and early childhood centers. With caseloads and exact numbers being finalized, this role presents a unique chance to lend your expertise where it's most needed and help shape the academic success and well-being of students at varying developmental stages.
Desired Qualifications:
Associate's degree from an accredited occupational therapy assistant program Active COTA certification and appropriate state licensure Previous experience in school-based or pediatric settings strongly preferred Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational skills Flexibility to travel between assigned sites throughout the week Passion for working with diverse student populations across a broad age range
Role Responsibilities:
Support students with individualized and small-group occupational therapy services under supervision of an Occupational Therapist Collaborate with teachers, specialists, and families to address students' functional and academic needs Maintain thorough documentation and contribute to IEP meetings as required Adapt therapy interventions to various settings and educational environments Actively engage in ongoing professional development and school initiatives Discover the fulfillment of guiding students toward greater independence and success in their school day.
