This is a neurorehabilitation role, not a traditional outpatient therapy position. What You Will Do This role requires a clinician who can build rapport, adapt quickly, and problem-solve barriers to engagement through creativity and interdisciplinary coordination. Treatment may occur in patients' homes, residential settings, workplaces, stores, restaurants, and other community environments where functional challenges naturally occur. Evaluate and treat adults with TBI and acquired neurological conditions (OT) Implement treatment plans and interventions established by the Occupational Therapist (COTA) Address executive functioning, attention, memory, problem-solving, safety awareness, self-management, and activities of daily living Provide skilled rehabilitation and maintenance therapy in residential, community, and outpatient settings Support community integration, independent living skills, vocational readiness, and functional participation Adapt interventions to real-world contexts to promote participation and carryover Collaborate closely with PT, SLP, physicians, case management, residential staff, guardians, and interdisciplinary partners Participate in care conferences and treatment planning meetings Complete documentation and required outcome tracking per accreditation standards Support clinical coordination and engagement strategies across care environments Productivity & Expectations This role carries a productivity expectation of 5 billable treatment hours per day. Requirements Valid occupational therapy license and NBCOT certification; COTA credentials are also accepted. Experience working with adults with TBI Prior experience assisting with ADLs, discharge planning, and working with individuals with autism or disabilities is desirable. Background in post-acute care environments including skilled nursing facilities, home health, outpatient clinics preferred. Strong case management skills with the ability to develop effective care plans tailored to individual needs preferred. Excellent communication skills to collaborate effectively within multidisciplinary teams and educate patients and families.
