Aurora, MO About the Role We are seeking a compassionate and motivated Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to join our rehabilitation team in a Skilled Nursing Facility setting. The COTA will work under the supervision of a licensed Occupational Therapist to provide high-quality therapy services to short-term rehab and long-term care residents. Our team is dedicated to helping residents regain independence, improve functional mobility, and enhance overall quality of life. Responsibilities Implement individualized treatment plans developed by the Occupational Therapist Provide skilled therapy interventions focused on ADLs, functional mobility, strength, balance, and safety awareness Work with patients recovering from orthopedic surgeries, stroke, neurological conditions, cardiac events, and general deconditioning Accurately document daily treatment notes and progress reports in compliance with Medicare and facility guidelines Collaborate with nursing staff, PT, SLP, and interdisciplinary team members Educate residents and caregivers on adaptive techniques and home programs Maintain productivity standards and quality care expectations Qualifications Associate degree from an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant program Current state license as a COTA (or eligibility) Active NBCOT certification required Experience in SNF or geriatric setting preferred Knowledge of Medicare Part A & B documentation (preferred) Strong communication and time management skills #IND2
