Category Schools - COTA Job Type Contract Make an impact supporting students in grades 6 through 12 as a Contract Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) working in a vibrant educational setting near Fort Leonard Wood, MO. Your specialized skills will foster student growth, help overcome barriers to learning, and contribute to a positive school environment.
Desired Skills and Experience:
Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant license in the state of Missouri (current and in good standing) Experience working in school settings, particularly with middle and high school students Familiarity with IEPs, progress documentation, and collaboration within IEP teams Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively work with students, families, and school staff Initiative, adaptability, and the ability to work independently or alongside supervising therapists
Key Responsibilities:
Provide direct occupational therapy services to students in grades 6-12 under the supervision of a licensed OT Assist in implementing therapy plans that target students' fine motor skills, sensory needs, self-care, and classroom participation Collect, document, and report data to monitor student progress and support IEP goals Collaborate with educators, parents, and other specialists to create functional strategies for student success Support assessments and maintain compliance with educational and professional standards
