Job Description

Category Schools - COTA Job Type Contract Step into a rewarding contract role where your expertise as a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) can make a meaningful difference for students in grades 6 through 12. This position offers a unique opportunity to support adolescent learners, helping them achieve their educational and functional goals within a school-based environment. Your collaborative spirit and knowledge of school-based occupational therapy practices will be highly valued as you work alongside educators and other related service providers. This is an ideal position for professionals passionate about empowering students to succeed both academically and in life skills.
Desired Experience and Qualifications:
Valid COTA licensure in Missouri (or eligibility to obtain prior to start) Prior experience or practicum in a school setting preferred Strong understanding of occupational therapy interventions for middle and high school students Excellent communication, documentation, and organizational skills Ability to collaborate effectively within a multidisciplinary team
Core Responsibilities:
Deliver occupational therapy services, implementing IEPs for students in grades 6-12 Conduct assessments and contribute to intervention planning for individual students Collaborate with occupational therapists, teachers, and family members to support student progress Document services and maintain detailed student records according to school and state requirements Promote students' participation in daily school activities through adaptive strategies and skill-building exercises
