Job Description

Nexus Therapy is currently seeking a dedicated Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) for the 2026-2027 school year! Join a supportive district in the wonderful community of Waynesville, MO, and make a meaningful impact on students' functional abilities, development, and academic success.

School-Based (K-12 caseload)
Pay:
Up to $32/hour
Hours:
37.5 hours per week (Full-Time)
Contract Length:
2026-2027 school year
Candidate Type:
Local or Travel (Stipends available for eligible travelers)
Requirements Licensure:
Active Missouri State Board of Healing Arts licensure as a COTA (or eligible to obtain).
Certification:
NBCOT certification as a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant.
Education:
Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant program.
Experience:
Previous school-based experience implementing IEP goals and collaborating with an OTR is preferred. You will be working within a dedicated school district in Waynesville, providing essential therapeutic services to students with diverse physical, sensory, and cognitive needs. As a COTA, you will play a critical role in supporting student achievement and independence. Working under the supervision of a Registered Occupational Therapist (OTR), your role involves implementing individualized treatment plans, delivering direct therapy services, tracking progress toward Individualized Education Program (IEP) goals, and collaborating with educators and families to ensure students can fully participate in the school environment.
