Job Description

Category Schools - COTA Job Type Contract An exciting opportunity awaits for a talented Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) eager to make an impact in an educational setting. This part-time, contract role is ideal for those who enjoy collaborating and thrive on helping students reach their potential. Starting as soon as possible through June 12th, 2026, you'll be supporting primarily high school students, with occasional involvement with PreK learners. You'll work closely with an onsite Occupational Therapist who will provide supervision and continued guidance, ensuring a collaborative and growth-focused environment. Enjoy a flexible schedule, with 15 hours per week across two days—preferably Tuesdays and Thursdays, though there's room to adjust based on your availability.
Qualifications and Experience:
Current certification and licensure as a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant Experience in a school or pediatric setting strongly preferred Ability to engage with both high school and young PreK students, adapting interventions as needed Skilled in working as part of a multidisciplinary team Strong communication, documentation, and organizational abilities Professional, positive, and reliable
Role Responsibilities:
Implement occupational therapy interventions in alignment with students' IEPs or 504 plans Collaborate with the onsite OT to track progress and adapt strategies as needed Provide direct support to students, utilizing creative and evidence-based approaches Assist with assessment activities as directed by the supervising OT Maintain accurate, timely records in compliance with school and state requirements
