  • Part-time, Full-time Overview TheraPlay Pediatric Therapies is looking for the right person to join our dynamic pediatric team as a Certified Occupational Therapist Assistant (COTA)/Occupational Therapist (OT), where you will play a vital role in supporting patients' independence through personalized occupational therapy services.
In this energetic position, you will collaborate closely with licensed occupational therapists, speech language pathologists and councilors to implement care plans, assist patients with emotional regulation, and promote optimal functional outcomes. You will be empowered to make a meaningful difference in children's lives every day. Duties Assist patients with activities of daily living (ADLs) such as dressing, grooming, and mobility to foster independence and confidence Support the implementation of individualized care plans tailored to each patient's needs and goals Provide therapy interventions in a pediatric clinic Apply your knowledge of physiology and anatomy to help evaluate patient progress and adapt therapy techniques accordingly Educate patients and their families on therapeutic exercises, safety measures, and health maintenance strategies Document patient responses, progress notes, and treatment outcomes accurately in compliance with healthcare regulations Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive patient care and seamless communication Requirements Valid certification as a Certified Occupational Therapist Assistant (COTA) or Occupational Therapist from an accredited program Strong understanding of medical terminology, physiology, anatomy, and occupational health principles Experience working with diverse populations including geriatrics, pediatrics, and patients recovering from acute care or inpatient stays Familiarity with care plan development and implementation for outpatient and inpatient care settings Ability to work independently in home health or outpatient environments as well as within team-based healthcare settings Excellent patient care skills with a compassionate approach to supporting recovery and functional independence Embark on a rewarding career where your expertise directly enhances families' quality of life.
