In this energetic and rewarding position, you will collaborate closely with occupational therapists to implement personalized care plans across various settings, including inpatient units, outpatient clinics, skilled nursing facilities, and home health environments. Your expertise in assisting with activities of daily living (ADLs), understanding of medical terminology, and compassionate patient care will drive positive outcomes for diverse patient populations. Duties Assist patients with activities of daily living such as dressing, grooming, feeding, and mobility to promote independence and safety Implement treatment plans designed by occupational therapists, adapting interventions based on patient progress and needs Support patients in outpatient, inpatient, skilled nursing facilities, or home health settings through tailored therapeutic activities Document patient responses, progress notes, and treatment outcomes accurately in compliance with healthcare regulations Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop comprehensive care plans that address physical, cognitive, and emotional needs Educate patients and family members on therapeutic exercises and strategies to maintain progress at home Maintain a safe environment by adhering to infection control protocols and safety standards during all patient interactions Requirements Valid certification as a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) from an accredited program Knowledge of anatomy, physiology, medical terminology, and occupational health principles Experience assisting with ADLs across various settings such as skilled nursing facilities, outpatient clinics, or home health environments Familiarity with inpatient and outpatient care processes and documentation requirements Strong patient care skills with the ability to motivate and support diverse populations including geriatrics and pediatrics Ability to work effectively within multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement care plans Excellent communication skills to educate patients and collaborate with healthcare professionals Join us in delivering compassionate care that transforms lives!
