Job Description

Category Schools - OT Job Type Contract Position Overview We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to provide school-based occupational therapy services for students within Valencia High School and Ann Parish Elementary School during the 2026-2027 school year. The COTA will work under the supervision of a licensed Occupational Therapist to support students in achieving their educational and functional goals. School Sites High School - Serving students in grades 10-12 Elementary School - Serving students in Pre-K through 6th grade

Pre-K through 6th Grade Responsibilities Implement occupational therapy treatment plans developed by the supervising Occupational Therapist. Provide direct therapy services to students in individual and group settings. Document student progress and maintain accurate therapy records. Collaborate with teachers, special education staff, administrators, and families to support student success. Assist with screenings, data collection, and progress monitoring. Participate in IEP meetings and other school-based team meetings as appropriate. Maintain compliance with federal, state, and district regulations. Qualifications Associate degree from an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant program. Current Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) license/certification. Previous pediatric or school-based experience preferred but not required. Strong communication, organizational, and collaboration skills. Ability to work effectively with students across a wide age range and varying abilities.
