Job Description

Category Schools - COTA Job Type Contract Make a real difference in students' lives by sharing your expertise as a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) in an engaging school-based setting. Collaborate closely with educators and therapists, using your hands-on skills to support a nurturing learning environment for children who thrive with your guidance.
What We're Looking For:
Current certification as a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) Previous school-based or pediatric experience preferred Understanding of IEPs and education-based therapy approaches Excellent communication and teamwork abilities Solid organizational skills with a solution-focused mindset Valid state licensure (or eligibility for licensure) Passion to empower children and adapt to diverse student needs
Key Responsibilities:
Work alongside Occupational Therapists to implement treatment plans in the school setting Deliver individualized and group occupational therapy interventions to students Assist with evaluations and documentation in accordance with school district guidelines and compliance requirements Collaborate with teachers, other professionals, and families to maximize student achievement Monitor, document, and report on student progress toward established goals Support the development of fine motor, sensory, and daily living skills to help students succeed in their academic environment
