PRN COTA
to join our practice.
RESPONSIBILITIES
The Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) shall be directly supervised by an OT and Therapy Coordinator.
Responsibilities:
Assist Occupational therapists in providing therapy services to patients in their home. Implement treatment plans and interventions under the supervision of an occupational therapist. Help patients develop or regain daily living skills and functional abilities in their home setting. Monitor and document patient progress during therapy sessions Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care. Educate patients and their families on therapeutic techniques and exercises
Note:
License as an Occupational Therapy Assistant is required for this position.
Skills:
Strong knowledge of human physiology, anatomy, and medical terminology Experience in home care setting is a plus Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with patients , their caregivers and healthcare team members Ability to adapt to different patient needs and modify treatment plans accordingly based on their home environment. Strong problem-solving skills to address challenges that may arise during therapy sessions Ability to create and manage your own schedule!
