Job Description

Category Schools - COTA Job Type Contract Step into a valuable role supporting students' growth and well-being as a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) in a school-based contract position near Dayton, OH. Your expertise will help foster independence and success for students with diverse needs during the 2026-2027 school year. Work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team to deliver high-quality occupational therapy services. The contract spans from August 6, 2026, through May 20, 2027, with a commitment of 24 hours per week—offering a regular, manageable schedule and an opportunity to make a positive impact throughout the academic year.
Qualifications & Experience:
Valid COTA certification and Ohio state licensure (or eligibility to obtain by the start date) Experience in both school and healthcare settings is beneficial Strong communication skills with students, staff, and families Ability to implement individualized treatment plans under supervision of an Occupational Therapist Detail-oriented, reliable, and passionate about student care
Key Responsibilities:
Support occupational therapists in delivering services shaped to each student's IEP or 504 Plan Assist with evaluations and deliver targeted interventions to help students achieve functional outcomes Document progress, maintain accurate records, and communicate findings with educational staff Participate in team meetings and collaborate with teachers, aides, and specialists Contribute to creating supportive, inclusive learning environments This contract offers stability, professional collaboration, and the satisfaction of seeing your work transform students' abilities and confidence.
