Job Description

Category Schools - COTA Job Type Contract Bring your passion for pediatric therapy to a dynamic educational environment as a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA)! Step into a rewarding contract opportunity running from August 6, 2026, through May 20, 2027, working 24 hours per week in a supportive school setting near Fairborn, OH. Here, your expertise will help students develop the skills they need to thrive both in and out of the classroom.
Qualifications:
Active COTA certification and current state licensure Solid background in school-based occupational therapy practices Experience supporting children with diverse needs in an educational or healthcare setting Compassionate, patient, and creative approach to therapy Excellent communication skills for collaboration with teachers, families, and fellow clinicians
Responsibilities:
Provide direct occupational therapy services to students as outlined in their IEPs/504 plans Assist the Occupational Therapist in developing and implementing individualized treatment plans and interventions Support students with fine motor, sensory, and daily living skills to foster independence and academic success Track student progress, document sessions, and prepare timely, accurate reports Collaborate with a multidisciplinary school team to ensure holistic student support Participate in meetings, training sessions, and family consultations as needed This contract role offers a unique chance to work closely with students, making a meaningful contribution to their development within a school-based framework.
