Position Summary:
Adjunct faculty members in the Occupational Therapy Program will be responsible for teaching high- quality, learner-centered courses within the Occupational Therapy Doctorate Program. Topics may include occupational therapy theories, clinical conditions, evidence-based practice, human anatomy, movement analysis, or classes focused on specific clinical practice areas. Primary responsibilities include designing, delivering, and managing courses across multiple instructional modalities, while fostering an inclusive and supportive learning environment. Faculty are expected to demonstrate subject matter expertise, employ effective teaching approaches, and maintain professional standards in student engagement and course management. Required Qualifications:
Please ensure your application materials clearly demonstrate how you meet the following: Bachelor's degree: Graduation from an accredited Occupational Therapy program (ACOTE Standard A.2. 5) Current license to practice OT in Oregon (ACOTE Standard A.2. 5) Minimum of 1 year of documented clinical practice experience in the field of occupational therapy 6-12 months of demonstrated experience teaching adult learners in an occupational therapy or occupational therapy assistant program. Excellent communication and problem-solving skills Strong organizational and documentation skills Demonstrated clinical and disciplinary expertise (ACOTE standard A.2.3.) Demonstrated knowledge and experience working with and supporting the success of people who have diverse backgrounds, cultures, or languages Eligibility for Professional license, registration or certification Oregon Occupational Therapist License required upon hire National Board for Certification of Occupational Therapy - initial certification required How to
