Certified Occupational Therapist Assistant (COTA/L)

Summary:

Our COTA provides in-home and in-center therapy for older adults on an ongoing basis in an effort to help regain or maintain their abilities to remain independent with ADL s and IADL s, range of motion, strength and interventions established by a treatment plan from the OT/L. This is a Mon-Fri daylight (7:30am-4:00pm) position. Mileage reimbursement is provided at the federal rate.

Required Education:

Successful OTA/L program completion approved by the National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy.

Required Experience:

Minimum of one year working with the frail or elder population. Required Licensure/Certifications Current OTA licensure issued by the state of PA. Valid PA Driver s

License Required Skills:

Able to demonstrate clinical competency with the geriatric population. Initiative and resourcefulness. Discretion, tact, patience, and good judgment. Empathetic and compassionate attitude in caring for the elderly. Ability to understand & carry out non-technical verbal & written directions, record messages, & keep records.
