Sign-On Bonus Opportunities Your Role:
Making a Meaningful Difference As a Pediatric COTA at Aprendamos, you are more than a clinician—you are a coach, partner, and advocate for families . You will implement occupational therapy treatment plans that empower children to develop independence and thrive in their daily environments—both at home and in the clinic. Key Responsibilities Clinical Care & Treatment Implementation Implement treatment plans developed by supervising OTs to support developmental, sensory, and functional goals Support children with sensory processing, motor development, and daily living skills Promote independence through adaptive strategies, environmental modifications, and caregiver coaching Family-Centered Care Partner with families to support progress in natural routines and daily activities Communicate child progress, provide education, and reinforce therapeutic strategies at home and in clinic settings Documentation & Compliance Complete accurate, timely documentation (EI logs, daily notes, WebPT entries) Meet billing deadlines and program requirements (EI FIT & clinic standards) Collaboration & Team Participation Attend Transdisciplinary Team Meetings (TTCMs) and collaborate with OTs, SLPs, PTs, and other providers Share observations and adjust interventions based on team input Progress Monitoring Observe treatment effectiveness and communicate updates to supervising OT Support ongoing evaluation and goal progression What We Are Looking For (Requirements)
Education:
Associate's Degree from an accredited COTA program
Licensure:
Active New Mexico COTA License Experience:
Pediatric experience preferred (Early Intervention and/or clinic setting)
Skills:
Strong clinical judgment and communication skills Ability to adapt in dynamic environments Commitment to family-centered care
Language:
Bilingual English/Spanish strongly preferred
Mobility:
Valid driver's license, reliable transportation, and auto insurance required (for EI home visits) Ability to lift up to 40 lbs and perform active, movement-based therapy tasks Why Aprendamos?
