Bring your expertise as a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to a vibrant educational setting in the greater Greenville, SC area. This contract opportunity begins in early August 2026 and runs through late May 2027, covering the academic school year and including pre- and post-planning days. School site assignments are likely to be in the Simpsonville and/or Greer area, and you'll have the rewarding chance to work closely with students, fostering their growth and independence in a supportive environment.
Desired Qualifications:
Valid South Carolina COTA license (required) Previous experience in school-based or pediatric occupational therapy roles is highly preferred Strong communication skills for collaboration with teachers, families, and supervising OTR Ability to manage a varied caseload while maintaining thorough documentation Flexible, positive attitude with a commitment to student success
Responsibilities:
Provide direct occupational therapy services to approximately 8-10 students per day, with ~5 hours of direct intervention (about 30 minutes per student) Support the implementation of students' individualized education plans (IEPs) under the supervision of an OTR Contribute to planning and review meetings as needed, including pre- and post-academic year sessions Monitor and document student progress, sharing updates with educators and parents Participate in ongoing professional development in partnership with school staff
