Candidates Uniquely Qualified For This Position Will Have An Industry Background In Health Science ( Responsibilities We are seeking candidates with strong interpersonal skills, management and/or leadership experience, and a track record on deadline- driven projects. The Future Ready teacher will be the liaison for this program with Erlanger Hospital and must effectively collaborate and plan academy activities with partners inside and outside the school. Candidates should have a passion for working with high school students and an ability to build relationships with students, with a particular interest with working in a diverse setting with students in urban school settings.
Qualifications Knowledge/Education/Experience:
Most hold an Occupational Teaching license with endorsement (720) Health Science Occupational License Guide Associate's degree or above leading to a Tennessee Board of Health issued licensure in one of the following areas or occupations (Internships and Fellowships are not eligible): Registered nurse, physician, chiropractor, dentist, dental hygienist, medical laboratory technician, paramedic, athletic trainer, occupational therapist, physical therapist, respiratory therapist, radiology technician, diagnostic medical sonographer, nuclear medicine technologist, audiologist, veterinarian, physical therapy assistant, occupational therapy assistant, physician's assistant, speech therapist, optometrist, pharmacist, dietician, podiatrist, clinical perfusionist
Occupational Work Experience:
One year full-time or part-time work out of the past five years
Industry Certification:
Tennessee Board of Health issued license
Skills/Qualifications:
Demonstrate excellent verbal and written communication skills to deal effectively with students, educators, Board members, parents, and community members. Compensation Salary is based on a combination of relevant education and experience. This position may be eligible for an increase in total compensation. The Differentiated Compensation Plan applies to designated schools and hard-to-staff positions.
