Job Description

This position is for a skilled nursing facility under new ownership on June 1st, and has both short-term and long-term patients. This facility will have an in-house therapy team with smaller daily case loads, all new equipment, and an emphasis on optimizing time with patients. We are dedicated to creating a family-like atmosphere for our residents, and our employees look forward to coming to work and delivering the highest quality of healthcare services possible. We offer CEU and licensure reimbursements for full-time employees!
Occupational Therapy Assistant Job Responsibilities:
Helps residents by providing rehabilitative services to persons with mental, physical, psychosocial, and/or developmental impairments under the direction/supervision of a licensed occupational therapist. Maintains expected productivity/efficiency set by the Director of Rehab or Administrator. Monitors therapy services to make sure they are performed correctly and provides encouragement when necessary. Maintains patient occupational therapy records by recording the resident's progress and daily notes. Generates revenue by recording billing information of services rendered. Maintains a safe, secure, and healthy work environment by following facility policies and procedures. Helps keep therapy equipment operating by following operating instructions, troubleshooting breakdowns, maintaining supplies, performing preventive maintenance, and calling for repairs. Serves and protects occupational therapy practice by adhering to professional standards, policies, and procedures, federal, state, and local requirements. Enhances occupational therapy practice reputation by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests and exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments.
