Job Summary The Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) provides direct patient care under the supervision of a licensed Occupational Therapist. This role focuses on implementing individualized treatment plans, monitoring progress, and supporting residents in improving daily function and independence. Responsibilities Administer prescribed occupational therapy treatments to improve function and promote healing Provide skilled therapy interventions in accordance with physician orders under OT supervision Communicate patient updates, needs, and referrals to the Occupational Therapist Implement and modify treatment plans under OT direction Monitor patient response and adjust interventions as appropriate in collaboration with the interdisciplinary team Educate patients, families, and caregivers on therapy goals and care plans Ensure accurate and timely documentation in compliance with company policies and regulatory standards Attend required meetings as designated by the Director of Rehabilitation Qualifications Associate degree from an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant program Current Texas licensure as a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) SNF/long-term care experience preferred Knowledge of current treatment practices Familiarity with Net Health electronic documentation system preferred Benefits Competitive compensation (based on experience) Health, dental, and vision insurance Life insurance Paid time off (PTO) Flexible scheduling Supportive, team-oriented work environment
