Job Description

Occupational Therapy Assistant (OTA) degree, active Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) license, and 1+ years Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered. Step into a fulfilling contract role supporting students as a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) in a lively K-12 setting near Devine, TX. As a key member of a collaborative special education team, you'll partner directly with a licensed Occupational Therapist to positively impact young learners during the 2024-2025 school year.
Qualifications:
Current and valid COTA certification Experience working with school-aged children (K-12 population) is a plus Strong communication and collaboration skills Ability to follow treatment plans under the direction of an OT Adaptability and commitment to supporting student success
Responsibilities:
Implement occupational therapy interventions as directed by a licensed Occupational Therapist Document sessions and student progress in accordance with school and regulatory requirements Assist in developing and modifying activities to improve students' skills and participation Collaborate with teachers, staff, and families to support each student's goals Provide services two days per week, for a total of 12-15 hours, meeting individual student needs Start date: August 3; End date: May 28 Enjoy a role that offers a healthy work-life balance, engaging only two days per week and allowing you to concentrate on meaningful therapy work with a flexible, supportive team.
